How Emberville Skills, Active Abilities, and Passives Work
Learn how Emberville active and passive skills connect to combat classes, inheritance, weapons, and version-sensitive demo skill trees.
What are Emberville skills?
Skills are class-linked active abilities and passive effects that help define a character’s combat style. Official material says learned classes can pass active and passive skills into other class builds, while weapons provide their own combos. The result is intended to let players combine class knowledge and weapon choice rather than follow one fixed kit.
Use the searchable Emberville skills directory to browse the names and broad purposes observed in the Steam Next Fest demo. It deliberately omits unstable damage percentages, Kymia costs, cooldowns, ranks, and unlock levels. Those values will be added only after repeatable verification.
What is the difference between active and passive skills?
Active skills are actions the player triggers, such as a charge, spell, stance, recovery effect, or control ability. Passive skills modify behavior without being manually activated, often rewarding blocks, movement, resource use, or specific combat conditions. Exact activation rules and loadout limits are still [待补充].
Class identity remains important even with inheritance. Review the class-system guide and demo class overview before comparing individual abilities. A skill that looks strong in isolation may depend on weapon choice, enemy behavior, resource availability, or another class passive.
How do weapons interact with skills?
The official Steam description separates weapon-bound combos from class skills. Equipping a weapon determines a set of attacks and combo behavior, while class progression supplies active and passive abilities. Public official material does not yet document every compatibility rule between weapons, classes, and inherited skills.
That uncertainty is why this wiki does not publish a final build tier list from demo values. The gameplay guide explains the confirmed combat loop, and the combat mechanics page tracks the boundaries between official facts and demo observations.
What skill data is still missing?
Stable Early Access values, unlock requirements, maximum ranks, slot limits, reset rules, inheritance restrictions, and patch-by-patch changes are [待补充]. The directory shows evidence status on every card so players can distinguish an observed demo ability from an unresolved entry. When stable data becomes available, updates will include a new verification date and game-version label rather than silently replacing old values.
